He has also held a number of international business and government appointments and sits on the Board of international companies and public sector agencies.
Dr. Olu Olasode is an international Chartered Accountant, Economist, Turnaround Expert, International Development Adviser, and Transformational Leadership Consultant. He has acted as catalyst for capacity building, transformation, leadership and developments across Europe and Sub-Saharan Africa.

Prof. Richard Scase; Emeritus Professor in the School of Social Policy, Sociology and Social Research and one of the world’s leading business forecasters, spent the whole of his academic career at Kent . A prolific writer of books and academic articles, he has also written several reports commissioned by the UK government, the European Commission and the UN, and most recently the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales. He has given more than 1000 presentations at major conference centres and venues, speaking alongside global political and business leaders and celebrities to professional, corporate and industry audiences across the world.
In these he focuses upon major demographic, economic and social trends and how these are likely to shape our future world. He is a great lover of ‘American Song Book’ music, and for this reason, through the Richard Scase Music Fund, he supports the University’s Big Band that encourages student talent in this genre.
PROF. SOLA ADESOLA FHEA, PH.D, MRES
Prof. Sola Adesola, a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, is an innovative, talented, entrepreneurial and versatile professional with over 20 years post graduation experience that spans the public sector, Nigeria oil & gas, energy industry, legal industry, manufacturing and the academia. She is a Senior Lecturer, academic board member, diversifying leadership champion, and Chair, Brookes Africa Forum, which she single-handedly initiated and developed in 2008 at Oxford Brookes University.
She serves as external validation panel expert and Buddy to Nilai University, Hong Kong, IIMT India, Visiting Professor to Kigali University, Rwanda.
Prof Sola’s research interests include local content policy development, entrepreneurship development in Africa, knowledge management, business process improvement and strategic positioning. She has published articles in journals including Business Process Management and International Journal of Operations and Production Management.
Amb. Sonye Allanah is a graduate of Foreign Languages and a former career diplomat of over twenty-four years, she has served in Nigerian Embassies in Paris, Dakar, Bonn and Berlin. She has vast experience in Protocol practice at the highest level, having served as the first female Director of Protocol to former Nigerian President Olusegun Obasanjo.
Over the years, she has closely assisted in the organisation of State and Official visits, including that of Queen Elizabeth II, the King and Queen of Spain, Margaret Thatcher and President Bush, to mention but a few.
She has attended several conferences and workshops across the world defending the rights of the girl child and women and making presentations with the theme ‘Women Are Capable Of Doing So Much More’. In one of her presentations at the occasion of the International Women’s Day about the UN initiative for stepping up gender equality by the year 2020. She is an advocate of the increase in the ratio of female to male population in companies especially as top executives.
Professor Paul Phillips is Professor of Strategic Management. Prior to being Director, Paul joined Kent Business School in 2004, as Deputy Director. Professor Phillips has held academic appointments at Cardiff Business School and the University of Surrey. In 2001, he was appointed to a full Professorship as the Charles Forte Chair of Hotel Management, which was created by a generous endowment from Forte plc in 1986 at the School of Management, University of Surrey, UK.
He has specialised international experience for Private Sector, Governments and Government Agencies. Specialists projects include organising and delivering specialist financial services short courses for international organisations, such as China Development Bank; digital strategy advice to FTSE 250 companies; Ministry of Defence; World Bank; Caribbean Development Bank; Shell; Guinness; Chinese People’s Liberation Army; Tourism and Hospitality international and national organisations; Hospitals; Police Forces; Knowledge Intensive Organisations.
