The Petroleum Technology Development Fund (PTDF) was established for the purposes of building capacities, capabilities and competences of Nigerian in the Petroleum industry.
1. Eradicate Smuggling
Provide capacity building and competence training to Partner Agencies on tracking and security management of Petroleum Products .
3. Increase Crude Oil Production
Support R & D on enhanced oil recovery.
4. Reduce Crude Oil Extraction Cost
Improve capabilities in Cost Engineering and other relevant competencies.
Optimize the Operation Management Training (OPMTS).
8 & 9. Increase Jobs And Reduce Poverty
Ensure oil and gas training are industry driven.
Vigorously pursue the development of blueprint for youth training and skills acquisition and monitor compliance.
Constant review of skills gaps in all major oil and gas projects.
Upgrade training facilities in-country in oil and gas related competencies.
Support STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics).
Regulate training and competencies acquisition in the Industry.
Short Term
Provide capacity building and competence training to Partner Agencies on tracking and security management of Petroleum Products.
Improve capabilities in Cost Engineering and other relevant competencies.
Ensure all oil and gas training are industry driven.
Medium Term
Vigorously pursue the development of a blueprint for youth training and skill acquisition, and monitor compliance.
Facilitate, in consultation with other relevant Agencies, the Operation Management Training (OPMT).
Constantly review skills gap in all major projects and bridge the identified gaps with short and long term training programme.
Long Term
Support R & D on enhanced oil recovery techniques.
Upgrade training facilities in-country in oil and gas related competencies.
Support STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics) in-country.
