Background

The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) was established on April 1, 1977 under the statutory degree No 33 of 1977 to act on behalf of the Government of Nigeria on matters relating to its interests in the Nigerian Oil Industry. The Corporation was also given powers and operational interests in exploration activities, refining, petrochemicals and products transportation as well as marketing.

Strengthen real-time tracking of supply and distribution from land and marine depots.

Host data sharing portal.

2. Gas Flare Commercialization

Deepen domestic LPG consumption.

3. Increase Crude Oil Production

Improve Security in operating environment.
Protect pipelines to reduce vandalism.
Optimize current Crude Oil production.
Reduce Contracting Cycle to six (6) months.
Increase Exploration activities.
Mature Other Existing Opportunities.

4. Reduce Crude Oil Extraction Cost

Optimize NPDC Operations.
Ensure proper project definition/FEED as requirement for sanctioning.
Improve collaboration, resource sharing and process standardization.
Improve capabilities in cost engineering and project management.
Minimize single sourcing syndrome.
Create shared industry spare parts database.

7. Increase Domestic Refining

Design, construct and operate 2500 bpd self-sustainable modular refinery integrated with fluid catalytic cracker (FCC) Strengthen engagement with relevant stakeholders.
Partner with CNL to achieve domestication of EGTL diesel.
Complete ongoing assessment and study of the four refineries.
Complete valuation of necessary repairs and put two refineries back into use.
Establish condensate refineries.
Collaborate with private sector refineries.

8 & 9. Increase Jobs And Reduce Poverty

Promote policies to encourage investments.
Set competitive prices on bids and projects.
Ensure trainings are industry driven.
Build more Power plants.
